Welcome to My Personal Page

As you may already know, I have the privilege of serving on the Make-A-Wish MS board of directors. I consider it a privilege because I truly believe in this organization's mission. Make-A-Wish grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. A wish come true empowers children to fight harder against their illnesses. When they are granted a wish, they get more than just a great experience for a day, two days, or a week. That experience improves the quality of life for them and their entire family. A wish come true empowers children to fight harder against their illnesses.
In early June, I will be participating in the Trailblaze Challenge benefitting Make-A-Wish. While many of you will likely find this hard to believe considering my lack of experience with distance-based (or any other) athletic endeavors, I will be participating in a marathon-length hike of the Pinhoti Trail in Alabama for the Make-A-Wish Mississippi Chapter. The goal is to complete this challenge in one very long day, rain or shine AND raise $3,500 for Make-A-Wish.
I am taking on this extreme endeavor in order to be a part of something bigger than myself. Many wish children will not have the opportunity to take on a mountain or experience the wilderness, and it provides me with great strength and courage to know that my actions are contributing to such a worthy cause.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity!
